Welcome to Kasungu National Park

Stretching along the Zambian border, Malawi’s second largest national park, Kasungu is made up of grassland and rolling hills inhabited by elephant, buffalo, zebra, antelope and more, while hippo wallow in its lake. A rich, varied bird life adds to the park’s wildlife, especially during the summer months when the migratory species arrive. Covering over 2000 square kilometres of natural open miombo woodlands interspersed with vast pockets of savanna. Visitors can spot wading hippos in the magnificent Lake Lufuba, enjoy close up views of an array of wildlife from the lovely lodge and immerse themselves in nature while enjoying a game drive and or a guided walk. History enthusiasts will enjoy the many important Iron Age archaeological sites which can be found within the park’s boundaries.
