Twala Trust Animal Sanctuary

The Twala Trust Animal Sanctuary is a Non – profit organisation based just outside Harare in Zimbabwe. The Trust is run by Sarah Carter and resident veterinarian Dr Vinay Ramlaul, together with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. The focus of Twala is to provide a nurturing and safe haven for animals and birds in need. Wherever possible, rescued animals are released back into the wild but many orphaned, injured and abused creatures find a forever home at Twala. Twala is home to several groups of rescued lions, serval cats, African hedgehogs, antelope, primates, reptiles, raptors and many more. There is a farmyard full of rescued birds and farm animals as well as horses and donkeys.
