About Chimanimani
The small town of Chimanimani is nestled on the foothills of the magnificent Chimanimani mountain range, with its crystalline peaks that tower over 2000 metres high in places. The breathtaking Bridal Veil Falls and the verdant Chirinda rainforest – with its cycads, ferns, orchids and ancient trees, including a gargantuan thousand-year-old mahogany – are situated close to Chimanimani, along with a myriad of scenic hiking trails winding their way across the mountains. Roughly 150 kilometres from the town is the spectacular Chimanimani National Park, a wonderland of lush forests, cascading waterfalls and crystal clear mountain pools. An annual African-themed arts and music festival, held in April, is the highlight of the local social calendar.
