Hemel-en-Aarde, meaning “heaven and earth” in Afrikaans, perfectly describes the estate's stunning location beneath the Babylon’s Tower mountain range. Ataraxia, named after the Greek term for a peaceful state of mind, produces some of South Africa’s finest wines. Situated on The Skyfields, a commanding rise in the Hemel-en-Aarde wine region, Ataraxia's core range includes an unwooded Sauvignon Blanc, a wooded Chardonnay, a Pinot Noir, and a red blend called Serenity. The Wine Lounge, housed in a chapel-style building typical of the Overberg region, provides a serene setting for tasting these exceptional wines.
