Umhlanga Pier, nicknamed the Whalebone Pier for its distinctive design, stretches 80 metres into the Indian Ocean. Completed in 2010, it's not just for scenic walks; the pier serves as a crucial stormwater outlet. Mosaic artworks inspired by Zulu shields adorn its sides, adding a touch of local flair. This award-winning pier was even named the most beautiful in the world by CNN in 2014.
