Cape Floristic Region (KB)

The Cape Floristic Region is a World Heritage Site and one of the richest plant kingdoms in the world. Most of the region is covered with fynbos but other vegetation types do exist. The Western Cape, for example, is home to a soft coastal shrubland called strandveld. This is found mostly on the west-facing coast.
