One of the strongholds built to protect the capital before the outbreak of the Anglo-Boer War (1899 to 1902), Fort Klapperkop has been renovated to resemble the originial building as closely as possible. It now functions as a museum housing exhibits of Anglo-Boer War weapons, utilities and furniture. Guided tours are available.
