Mkhambathi Nature Reserve

Mkhambathi Nature Reserve, located on the Wild Coast of north-eastern Pondoland, South Africa, spans 7,720 hectares of breathtaking landscapes. The reserve is characterised by open grasslands, indigenous forest patches, and swamp forests flanked by the forested ravines of the Msikaba and Mtentu rivers. Visitors can marvel at the crystal-clear pools and spectacular waterfalls, including the impressive Horseshoe Falls. The reserve is a haven for birdwatchers, with a large colony of Cape vultures and diverse bird species. Wildlife enthusiasts can spot mammals such as eland, bushbuck, and chacma baboons.
