About Robberg Nature Reserve
Robberg Nature Reserve, located 8 km south of Plettenberg Bay on South Africa’s Garden Route, is a nature reserve and World Heritage Site set on a striking peninsula. Visitors can explore its landscapes by walking or hiking, learn about its history at the Nelson Bay Cave interpretive centre, spot wildlife such as the rare blue duiker, dolphins, whales, birds, and seals, and view features including coastal dunes and the Cape Seal Lighthouse. The site is notable for rocks dating back 120 million years, evidence of Stone Age habitation, offshore protection for vulnerable fish species, and the availability of an overnight hut for extended stays.
