Matsamo Customs and Traditional Centre

Matsamo Customs and Traditional Centre is an immersive cultural village located near the Jeppes Reef border gate in Mpumalanga, offering an authentic Swazi-led experience since 2014. Guided by knowledgeable local hosts, visitors walk through handcrafted grass-and-wooden huts, learn about traditional agriculture, weaving, beadwork and ceramics, and taste Swati cuisine in the open-air LIDLALA kitchen. Live performances feature folk songs, the renowned Rain Dance and energetic drumming, often followed by an African barbecue feast around the fire. With wheelchair access, accessible parking and restrooms, the centre warmly welcomes all travellers.
