Paarl Rock Brandy Cellar

Founded in 1856 by the De Villiers brothers, the Paarl Rock Brandy Cellar is steeped in South African brandy-making tradition. Located in Paarl, a town within the Cape Winelands, the cellar holds the record for most awarded brandy in the country, with over 200 medals clinking in its trophy cabinet. Visitors can witness the entire brandy-making process, from distillation and maturation in French oak casks to hand-bottling. A guided tour culminates in a cosy tasting room overlooking the imposing Paarl Rock, a flat-topped granite outcrop that characterises the region's landscape.
