About Cleft Peak 3280m
Sitting at 3280 metres, Cleft Peak is the highest point of the Drakensberg between Champagne Castle and Mont-aux-Sources. The summit can be ascended by means of two different routes, both of which are steep uphill climbs requiring fitness and stamina, as well as comprehensive supplies of water, snacks and all-weather gear. The hike there and back is likely to take most of the day, but offers superb scenery along the way and exquisite views from the top.
