About Cannibal Cave
The historic Cannibal Cave is located within the Royal Natal National Park in the Drakensberg. The cave is famous in history for housing ancient bushmen and later war victims of Shaka Zulu battles. When there was food scarcity, these refugees transitioned into cannibals, feasting on passersby and even their own families for survival.
