Wildebeest Kuil Rock Art Centre

Located about 16 km from Kimberley, the Wildebeest Kuil Rock Art Centre showcases an exceptional collection of rock engravings. It is situated on land owned by the !Xun and Khwe San, this Provincial Heritage Site is managed by the Northern Cape Rock Art Trust in collaboration with the McGregor Museum. The site features intricate engravings of large mammals like elephants, rhinos, and hippos, contrasting with the more common rock paintings in other South African regions. The centre provides insights into the rich heritage of Khoe-San rock art and its significance in the region's cultural landscape.
