About Molatedi
Situated in the rural northwest province of South Africa, Molatedi is a small town you might speed past on your way to some of the country’s coveted safari lodges - places like Madikwe Game Reserve (an hour’s drive away) or Pilanesberg National Park and Sun City (a two-hour’s drive away). The main attraction here is the 200-hectare Molatedi Dam, built in 1986. Fed by the Groot Marico River, this massive body of water brings birders and fishermen to the area. Kurper and carp can be caught here and if you look up you may spot some impressive raptors.
