Bloemhof Dam Nature Reserve

Spanning 12,000 hectares, Bloemhof Dam Nature Reserve is situated near the charming town of Bloemhof in the North West province. This pristine reserve showcases the striking Kalahari scrubs and thornveld landscapes, while open plains within the vicinity are a habitat for a diverse array of wildlife. Observant enthusiasts can spot gemsbok, black wildebeest, eland, springbok, and over 250 bird species. Close to Bloemhof, a vast 25,000-hectare dam forms at the confluence of the Vaal and Vet Rivers.
