About Doornkop Fish and Wildlife Reserve
Situated in the Komati Valley, Doornkop is malaria free and set in a private reserve of rolling hills and grassland savannahs. The Komati River and Swartwaterspruit wind their way through the reserve and fishing is available for both Yellow fish and Trout. Doornkop is fully game fenced and is currently stocked with 15 species of non-dangerous large mammals, as well as 203 species of bird. Game viewing can be enjoyed on foot, mountain bike, horseback or open top vehicles. Make time to visit the interesting ruins and discover the waterfalls and forest in the valley.
