About Outeniqua Choo Tjoe
For years, the Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe was the only scheduled steam train operating in Africa and one of only a handful worldwide. It ran between the towns of George and Knysna along a spectacular coastal railway line, completed in 1928, affording passengers unique views, but operations were terminated in 2009.
