Hartenbos Museum

The museum at Hartenbos focuses on the history of the Afrikaner pioneers, or Voortrekkers, who left the Cape for the interior in 1838 in order to make a life for themselves away from British rule. The museum pays special attention to their way of life and living conditions through a series of historic recreations.
