The bird watching within and around the Mulwati concession is great. There are numerous bird of prey in the area with the most common being the Bateleur. (Short tailed Eagle) During the summer months guests have the opportunity to see the migrant birds returning from their summer elsewhere. Bee-eaters, Steppe buzzards and Swallows are among the few species you can expect to see when coming out into this area. There are also fantastic vlei areas in the summer months where one can find numerous storks and other water birds congregating. All in all expect to see fantstic raptors, vultures, waterbirds and various other species.
