Pafuri Gate

Besides Punda Maria gate, Pafuri Gate is the only other entrance that allows day trips into Kruger’s far north from outside the park. From the gate, visitors enter the ‘northern biome’, one of the most ecologically diverse areas of the park. There are fewer animals inhabiting this area – except for during winter when hundreds of elephant and buffalo enter this area – but there are rare plants and animals that can be found nowhere else in the country.
