Lapalala Wilderness Nature Reserve

Lapalala Wilderness Nature Reserve, in the Waterberg region of Limpopo, South Africa, covers approximately 48,000 hectares within the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve. Visitors can learn about the rehabilitation and release of Kulu the pangolin, explore diverse landscapes of mountains, rivers, bushveld and open savannah, and observe a wide variety of African wildlife across the reserve’s habitats. The reserve is notable for its conservation initiatives, environmental education programmes and designation as South Africa’s first International Dark Sky Park.
