Somkhanda Game Reserve

Somkhanda Game Reserve is a community-owned game reserve that is run and managed in partnership with the Gumbi Community by Wildlands Conservation Trust and African Insight. It is the first community-owned game reserve to be formally proclaimed as a nature reserve.

The Somkhanda Game Reserve is a 12 000 hectare game reserve, located in the heart of South Africa's Zululand. Lodge and camping accommodation is offered on the Big Five game reserve. On Somkhanda, visitors can experience and learn about all aspects of the wildlife and the environment.
