Muzi Pan

Located to the east of the Mkhuze Game Reserve's eastern boundary and north of the Mkuze River, Muzi Pan is accessible via the D820 dirt road connecting with Route 22. Hosting an impressive 420 bird species, including rarities like the Pacific golden plover and collared pratincoles, Muzi Pan, set within the Mkhuze River floodplain, remains undeveloped, with banks adorned by a mix of forest and rural village landscapes. The summer season, marked by increased bird density and diversity, offers an optimal time for a visit.
