eMakhosini Opathe Heritage Park, set in the Valley of Kings near Ulundi and Melmoth, spans 24,000 hectares. It preserves Zulu cultural heritage and the natural landscape from King Shaka's era. The park features diverse landscapes, rich biodiversity, and reintroduced game, including black rhino, buffalo, giraffe, blue wildebeest and various antelope. The Amakhosini Monument stands as a tribute to Zulu culture, adorned with bronze plaques and a symbolic beer pot, overlooking the valley. This historic site is home to the last Zulu King, King Goodwill Zwelithini.
