About Mbazwana
The tiny town of Mbazwana lies on the KwaZulu-Natal's sublime Elephant Coast, in the Umkhanyakude District Municipality roughly 50 kilometres east of Ubombo. The town offers exquisite and thriving natural beauty, gorgeous beaches close by, and an excellent shopping mall. One of the primary attractions here is the magnificent UNESCO-listed iSimangaliso Wetland Park, which encompasses stunning lakes, forests and wetlands, and is home to more species of animal than the Kruger National Park as well as spectacular birdlife and South Africa’s largest hippo population. The breathtaking beaches at neighbouring Sodwana Bay provide ample opportunities for scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing and watching the resident turtles. Other activities include wonderful hiking trails, fishing, rock and surf fishing, estuary fishing and deep sea fishing, horse riding, and whale watching.
