About De Wet's Huis Photo Museum
Built in 1889, the building on Erf 556 in Church Street changed hands several times before being acquired by the Dutch Reformed Church for use as a Sunday School. In 1983, it was slated for demolition but was saved by the Old Harbour Museum. The building was then dismantled, carefully numbered stone by stone, and moved to its current location at the Fishermen's Village. Reassembled, it now houses a photo exhibition.
