About Pollock Beach
Known locally as the "Pipe," Pollock Beach is a favourite among surfers for its excellent waves and surfing conditions, with the take-off point located on a rock in front of the stormwater pipe, giving the beach its name. A natural tidal pool formed by a shelf of rocks and a narrow water channel provides a fun spot for children to jump, making it perfect for families. The expansive stretch of sand also invites beach walks. While there's a lawn area ideal for picnics, it's best to avoid the far side of the beach, as it can get crowded during peak season and holidays. The area provides ample lawn space, along with parking facilities and a shower house with an ablution block designed for surfers.
