About Victoria Bay

A hidden gem along South Africa's Garden Route, Victoria Bay is a picturesque cove situated between George and Wilderness. Renowned for its stunning beach and excellent surfing conditions, it features a right-hand reef-like wave that rolls over small boulders for approximately 200 meters, making it a favourite among surfers. The bay hosts numerous district and national surf competitions, drawing enthusiasts and visitors alike. A number of campsites overlook the bay, and clusters of holiday chalets nearby make it a popular destination during summer and Easter holidays. The grassy area above the beach includes braai facilities, while a small shop and restaurant are conveniently located at the top of the beach road.
