Millwood Gold Fields

The discovery of gold in 1876 brought hundreds of fortune hunters to Millwood, and within weeks, the town mushroomed with hotels, houses and shops. However, the gold soon ran out, and Millwood became a ghost town. Today, a mystical aura remains, and visitors can take in the old foundations, street signs, forlorn graveyards, tunnels and mine shafts of this once-prosperous settlement.
