Garden Route Weather

The Garden Route, with its coastal position and Mediterranean climate, enjoys hot summers and mild to chilly winters. Most of its rain occurs during winter months, keeping the area lush and green. Spring arrives in September, although cold fronts are not uncommon through October. November to March are the summer months and days are usually sunny and warm with December to February being the hottest months; daily temperatures can climb to 24°C - 30°C. Winter runs from June to August, but although the weather begins to cool down from April, temperatures can still be very pleasant right up until June. Days are usually sunny; evenings are significantly colder.
