Dlinza Forest

The Dlinza Forest, located in Eshowe, Zululand, South Africa, is a subtropical Coastal Scarp Forest renowned for its rich biodiversity. Visitors can walk along the elevated boardwalk, explore the forest canopy, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. Activities include birdwatching, spotting rare species such as the endangered spotted ground thrush, Delegorgue’s pigeon, and the colourful, purple-crested turaco, as well as observing butterflies, chameleons, and frogs. Notably, the forest hosts occasional church services, and a nativity play every three years, while its 20‑metre viewing tower offers panoramic views above the treetops; it is a unique blend of nature and culture.
