The Western Cape Division of the High Court of South Africa - commonly referred to as the Cape High Court - is a superior court of law that has general jurisdiction over the Western Cape Province of South Africa. The court was first established on 1 January 1828 as the Supreme Court of the Colony of the Cape of Good Hope. It was renamed to the Western Cape Division of the High Court of South Africa in 2003.
