The Boorhaanol Islam Movement has been the community organisation of the Bo-Kaap area for over the past 50 years. It formed by combining religious educational initiatives and the socio-economic upliftment programs run by the popular son. Imam Abdurahmaan Bassier and Dr Achmat Davids. This mosque is the home of the movement and community programs.
