Guguletu Township is located in the Western Cape, South Africa and is approximately 15 km from Cape Town. The township was established in the 60s together with Nyanga Township. The main route running through the township is Steve Biko Drive which was formerly known as NY1. The City of Cape Town renamed the NY terminology in 2012 after mounting pressure from the community.
