About Gugulethu Seven Memorial
The Gugulethu Seven memorial is located in the heart of Gugulethu in Cape Town. The Gugulethu Seven were an anti-apartheid group of men aged from 16 to 23, that were fatally shot on 3 March 1986 by members of the South African Police force. On Human Rights Day, 21 March 2005, a monument was erected in Gugulethu, honouring the lives of the young men.
