Jardin Du Roi Spice Garden

Located on the beautiful island of Mahé, Jardin Du Roi Spice Garden is set upon a lush hilltop, above the Anse Royale Beach. The garden cultivates a wide variety of spices, including vanilla vines, citronella, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper. Visitors can enjoy self-guided tours around the grounds and stroll along the Garden Walk, Medicinal Plants Path, and the Rainforest Trail. The 86-acre park also features a museum where visitors can learn about the island's vibrant spice trade. There is also a pleasant cafe-restaurant and an onsite gift shop.
