Nyandungu Eco-Park

Nyandungu Eco-Park, located in Kigali, Rwanda, is a 121-hectare restored wetland and forest reserve opened to the public in July 2022. Visitors can enjoy 10 km of walking and cycling paths, explore medicinal and Pope’s Gardens, relax at picnic areas, and learn about biodiversity at the information centre. The park also features five catchment ponds, three recreation ponds, and a restaurant, making it a hub for eco-tourism and leisure. Notably, it is home to 62 local plant species and over 100 bird species, while its restoration created 4,000 green jobs, positioning it as a landmark in sustainable urban development.
