Museum of the Environment

The Museum of the Environment in Rwanda is situated near Lake Kivu and spans two floors. It features exhibitions focused on renewable and non-renewable energy sources and includes a rooftop garden dedicated to traditional herbal medicine. The museum functions as an educational centre, aiming to promote understanding of environmental issues and sustainable development. It collaborates with traditional medicine practitioners to identify and conserve medicinal plants and share knowledge about natural treatments.
