About Coulée de lave 2007
Coulée de lave 2007 is a lava field in the Grand Brûlé region of Réunion Island, France, formed during the 2007 eruption of Piton Tremblet, with the flow extending from an altitude of 580 metres to the coast and reaching a width of approximately 1.8 kilometres. Visitors can hike across the lava fields of Piton de la Fournaise, walk on black volcanic rock, observe lava tunnels and sea cliffs, and stop at roadside viewpoints for short walks.
