Alte Feste Fort

The Alte Feste Fort is an old German fortress and museum in downtown Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. The fort dates from 1890 and its exhibitions walk visitors through a brief, but informative history of Namibia, the occupation of the land, and the subsequent uprisings and struggles by Namibians for independence from colonial rule, the country's social history, and also some interesting rock art.
