Gondwana Nature Park

The Gondwana Cañon Park is found in the stark yet beautiful Nama Karoo, surrounded by quiver trees, mountains, a scattering of granite and dolerite hills and sweeping, barren plains. Visitors can explore the world renowned Fish River Canyon, view ancient, bizarre rock formations, and admire rock engravings. The animals of the Nama Karoo include springbok, kudu, ostrich, zebra and gemsbok. Some species are currently being reintroduced to the park, including the hartebeest and giraffe.
