About Duwisib Castle Museum
Located in the desert farm lands of Namibia, Duwisib Castle Museum, often referred to as Duwiseb or Duweseb - a grand pseudo-medieval looking fortress in the hills of the semi-arid Southern Namib region. This landmark was built by Captain Hans Heinrich von Wolf, who was posted to the then German South-west Africa.
This national monument which occupies about 900 metres of desert land with a large courtyard is now open to the public as a museum.
