About Namibia Weather
Namibia’s climate is characteristic of semi-desert terrain, with hot days and chilly nights. The cold Benguela current cools the coastal regions, causing fog and restricting rainfall. Namibia enjoys sunshine roughly 300 days of the year, with rains occurring during the summer months of October to April, usually as heavy thunderstorms. During this time the normally dry river beds become saturated with muddy water very quickly. The rain brings the land to life and presents a magnificently colourful horizon within a few days.
