About REST Namibia

REST Namibia is located on a farm outside the town of Outjo in Namibia. REST stands for 'Rare and Endangered Species Trust', as this small research, rescue, rehabilitation, and release centre specializes in rare & endangered species. The institute has always been able to keep maintenance costs low by using recycled items and by practising high levels of conservation for electricity, water and waste. While the institute focuses on the “Forgotten Five” (Cape Griffon Vulture, Cape Pangolin, Damara Dik-Dik, Spotted Rubber Frog, and Dwarf Python), the centre will also take in any animal that needs help.
