About Khorab Memorial
The Khorab Memorial was established in honour of the South African troops who defeated the German Army on 01 July 1915, which ultimately led them to surrender and sign the Khorab Peace Treaty. This memorial site can be found a few kilometres outside of the Otavi region. The Treaty of Khorab is the official document which lists the terms of the surrender by the Germans in which 31 years of the German colonial ruling in Namibia was ended.
