About Ombili Foundation

The Ombili Foundation is located in the Otjozondjupa Region of Namibia, at a remote farm where over 500 San people live and work together. As part of its mission, the foundation strives to teach the San people how to produce their own food, send them to school, and equip them with skills necessary for employment or business opportunities. In addition, the foundation also works on developing handicrafts made by San people and markets these crafts to customers from across the world. This provides an invaluable source of income for the local community, with proceeds going directly back to those who produced them. Moreover, Ombili Foundation facilitates access to basic facilities such as clean water, sanitation, and health care. These services are essential to the foundation's overall mission to enable the San people to become self-sufficient whilst living on their own land. The Ombili Foundation also seeks to pass on knowledge and skills from elders in the community by offering traditional cultural workshops to younger generations. This helps preserve centuries-old traditions passed down through generations and provides a platform for the San people to share their culture with others.
