Mahebourg Museum

Mahebourg Museum is located in the city of Mahébourg in Mauritius. The museum is housed in a historic building that dates back to the 17th century. It contains collections of finds from the from the Indian Ocean around Mauritius, dodo skeletons, old maps, archival photographs, historic paintings, the Rodrigues solitaire and much more. The museum grounds boast beautiful trees and old railway carriages. A visit to the museum offers tourists an insight of the island during the early days as well as its Anglo-Franco roots.
