About Cavendish Bridge
Commissioned in 1911, the iconic Cavendish Bridge is located in Mahébourg. It was named after Cavendish Boyle, who was the presiding governor of Mahébourg at the time the bridge was constructed. The bridge spans over the La Chaux River, connecting Ville Noire to the Mahebourg Village. From the top of the bridge, tourists can enjoy stunning views of the river as fishermen carry on their daily activities. Excellent photo opportunities are also available.
