Grand River South East Waterfall

Grand River South East Waterfall, located near Mahébourg on Mauritius’s east coast, is the island’s highest waterfall, dropping around 90 metres into a lush gorge. Visitors can embark on guided boat safaris along the river, passing basalt cliffs and spotting kingfishers and herons before arriving at the falls. Notably, the waterfall is particularly striking during the rainy season from December to April, when its flow is most powerful.
